Bulk Collection Returns to Prior Schedule

Effective Monday July 26, 2010, the City of Portsmouth’s Waste Management Division returned to its prior bulk collection schedule.
Residents no longer have to call-in their bulk requests. As long as items are placed out by 7:00 a.m. on collection day, they will be picked up.

NEW Portsmouth Bulk Refuse & Such

The Division of Waste Management announces that effective Monday, July 12, 2010 regular bulk collection will be cancelled. However, BULK on Demand, Portsmouth’s new 24-48-hour Bulk Removal Service will begin. The City of Portsmouth’s Waste Management Division will launch a strictly call-in service, which will significantly improve response time, prioritize needs, and put bulk removal On Demand at Citizens’ Command.  Read more by visiting Portsmouth's City website below.

Citizens must call to schedule collection at 393-8663.  If you don't call then they won't collect it!
